Custom Private Tours of Berlin

Thoughtful, flexible tours created by an architect and certified Berlin guide.

A tour shaped around you

Every custom tour starts with a conversation.

Some guests arrive with a clear idea of what they’d like to explore. Others just know they want something more personal, more in-depth, or more flexible than a standard tour.

As a trained architect and certified Berlin guide, I bring a different perspective to the city, one that connects buildings, history, and everyday life in ways most tours don’t.

Together, we’ll design a private experience that fits your interests, schedule, and energy. Whether that’s a walking tour, private car tour, day trip, or something in between, there’s no fixed route and no checklist.

€110 per hour

+ €85 per hour for private car tours (for groups up to 6 people)

  • 24-hour cancellation policy for walking tours, 48-hour cancellation policy for private car tours
  • Hotel pick-up
  • Private and tailored to you

Some guests book first to secure their date, others prefer to start with a conversation, both are absolutely fine.

Please note: Availability can be limited during peak season. Booking early is recommended.

Ideas for your custom tour

Custom tours can be built around a single theme or combine several interests. Common starting points include:

  • Cold War and divided Berlin
  • Art, street art, and Berlin’s creative scene
  • Jewish Berlin and the history of the city’s Jewish community
  • Neighbourhood deep-dives — Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg, Neukölln
  • Food, markets, and local life
  • Berlin for returning visitors who want to go beyond the highlights
  • Corporate events and group experiences

If what you’re looking for isn’t listed here, that’s completely fine, these are just starting points.

How the experience works

You can either secure your date first and answer the questions during the booking process, or get in touch first to discuss your needs. Whether you book first or contact us, we start with a brief exchange by email or phone to understand what you’re interested in.

I’ll suggest a structure, duration, and format based on your interests and desires ready for you to review and provide any feedback.

Is this the right fit?

A custom tour is the right fit for you if you:

  • Enjoy thoughtful, discussion-based experiences
  • Want flexibility
  • Are traveling in a larger group
  • Planning a visit around a conference or event
  • Are curious about context, not just highlights
  • Prefer a private, more in-depth way of exploring

It may not be the best fit if you:

  • Are looking for a fast, checklist-style tour
  • Prefer a fully scripted experience with set stops

Frequently asked questions

Not at all.
Many guests book a custom tour with only a rough idea of what they’d like to explore. We’ll discuss your interests, timing, and pace together and shape the tour from there. A short conversation is usually enough to get started.

My set tours offer a clearly defined experience with a specific focus and structure.
Custom tours are more flexible — they’re designed around your interests and can cover a wider range of topics, locations, or formats, including Sachsenhausen or Potsdam.

If you’re unsure which is the better fit, I’m always happy to advise.

Yes. Custom tours can include visits to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial, Potsdam, or other locations outside central Berlin. Some guests choose to combine a city tour with a day trip all in the one day! This works well for those who only have 1 day in Berlin or are otherwise short on time.s

These tours are planned carefully in advance to allow enough time and context, and pricing may vary depending on duration and transport.

Definitely! Tours can be adapted for families or guests with specific mobility considerations.
If you have any requirements or concerns, it’s best to mention them when getting in touch so we can plan accordingly.

Absolutely. While we’ll agree on a general plan in advance, custom tours are flexible by nature and can adapt to energy levels, weather, or interests as we go.
