Understand how and why it happened.
Highlights
Important tour information
Duration: 6 hours day trip
Group size: If your group is bigger, I can arrange for extra guides to ensure an intimate atmosphere on the tour.
Meeting point: Hotel pick-up, or Madame Tussauds, on the Unter den Linden, close to the S-Bahn Station ‘Brandenburger Tor’.
Accessibility: This tour is suitable for wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility.
What you’ll need: An ‘ABC zone’ transport ticket is required for the tour and is not included in the price. You can buy a ‘small group ticket’, for groups of 3-5 people for the best value. I can also help you purchase the correct ticket at the start of the tour.
Please bring snacks and water, as there are limited food options once the tour begins.
Weather: My tours go ahead in all weather, so dress appropriately for walking outdoors and I’ll do my best to find shelter on hot/wet days where possible.
Please note, children under 18 are welcome on the tour, but only if accompanied by an adult. School groups are also welcome when accompanied by a teacher or responsible adult.

Tour Description
As a fully licensed tour guide, I offer comprehensive tours around Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp – one of the most important concentration camps from the Nazi regime. On this experience you will learn about the role Sachsenhausen played in supporting the Nazi regime, explore the grounds and gain essential insights into WWII and the Holocaust.
During the tour, I’ll take you through the different parts of the concentration camp, talking you through the daily routines of the prisoners, who was imprisoned there, the types of labour carried out, and the significance of the camp in the wider regime. You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of the concentration camp system, and of Sachsenhausen in particular.
The tour starts in central Berlin by Madame Tussauds, from where I’ll take you to the camp via train. At the end of the tour, you can return to Berlin with me or stay on to explore more exhibitions at the memorial.
Would you rather travel to the camp by private car or bus? Simply get in touch!
