What to expect

Come with me to explore Berlin neighbourhoods like a local and gain a deeper understanding of what it means to live in Berlin today. As your local guide, I’ll uncover the city's rich history, diverse architecture and thriving art scene through the Mitte and Prenzlauer Berg neighbourhoods.

During the tour, you’ll learn about the Cold War and the story behind the famous TV Tower in Alexanderplatz – sometimes called the ‘Pope’s Revenge’. We’ll also explore the architecture around Karl-Marx-Allee, where the Communist 'Worker's Palaces' can be found. On top of the history, the tour also delves into some of Berlin’s street art scene around the Hackescher Markt area, including Dead Chicken Alley.

After taking the train to Prenzlauer Berg, a neighbourhood with parks, boutiques and great food, we’ll explore how the city is navigating its complicated history while looking to the future. Finally, we’ll finish with a much-deserved curry wurst tasting at one of the best spots in the city – a must for anyone visiting Berlin.
