How can I book a tour?

What if my preferred date is unavailable?

If your desired date or time is showing as unavailable, please get in touch – I may still be able to accommodate your preferred time.

Can I customise my tour?

Absolutely! I offer bespoke tours that can be tailored to your interests. If you want to discuss your ideas, get in touch for a free consultation.

Are your tours suitable for individuals, families, and groups?

Yes, all tours are suitable for individuals, families, and groups of all sizes. I can accommodate different group sizes and tailor the experience to your needs.

Can I book a tour in a language other than English?

Yes! I offer tours in English and French. I also have a network of guides running tours in German, Spanish and Swedish - please contact me for these languages.

What happens in the event of inclement weather?

In most cases, our tours proceed as scheduled regardless of the weather. I always do my best to seek shelter as much as possible (however this isn’t always possible, so I suggest you dress for the weather!). However, in extreme conditions, I provide options to reschedule or refund your tour.

How can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

You can cancel your tour through the email confirmation you received upon booking. Alternatively, you can contact me directly at info@walkabouttours.de to reschedule or arrange a refund. See more information about my cancellation policy below.

What is the cancellation policy?

Public tours

These tours run in all weathers and on all public holidays, and there is no minimum number of participants.

In the extremely unlikely event that a public tour is cancelled by Walkabout Tours, you will receive a full refund. The refund process may take a few days depending on the booking channel and method of payment.

Up to 48 hours before the tour starts you can reschedule or cancel the tour via e-mail for any reason at no additional cost. If the booking has been made through a third party seller, the cancellation or rescheduling request needs to be sent to that third party seller. A cancellation or rescheduling will always be confirmed by Walkabout Tours via e-mail. If you have not received such confirmation, you must get in touch with Walkabout Tours.

No refund is due if the cancellation is received later than 48 hours before the tour starts. Rescheduling a ticket for a public tour to a later date may still be possible free of charge if the rescheduling does not result in any additional costs for Walkabout Tours.

Private tours

The following cancellation fees will apply if a private tour is cancelled by notice via e-mail or via call:

  • Up to 72 hours before the tour is scheduled: Free of charge.

  • Between 72 and 24 hours before the tour is scheduled: 50% of the tour price, plus any costs associated with canceling vehicles/museums etc booked for the tour (if any).

  • Less than 24 hours before the tour is scheduled, or if the guest does not meet the Walkabout Tours guide at the agreed time and place: 100% of the tour price.

If, unexpectedly, events on the day of the tour make it impossible or very difficult to conduct the tour, Walkabout Tours will consult the guest and do all it can to provide an alternative solution. If a satisfactory alternative cannot be found, either Walkabout Tours or the client may cancel the tour. In this case, Walkabout Tours will charge a 10% handling fee and, if applicable, the costs associated with canceling vehicles/museum entries etc. booked for the tour, and issue the refund of the remaining balance within 2 weeks.

A cancellation or rescheduling will always be confirmed by Walkabout Tours via e-mail. If the you has not received such confirmation, you must get in touch with Walkabout Tours.
